Include social/hidden deeds That award TP (Boar slayer)-50TP , as of current beta.

Perhaps put a column for checking them off a list to see which ones are done already.

Tawariel said...

Good suggestion re hidden deeds. I have the few that sort to zones (like Ridge-racer) but not all of them.

I bugged Boar-slayer in Beta 4 and Beta 5 since I really think it's a mistake. All other deeds of that type award 5 or 10 TP. If it's still there at launch, well, I guess it's a bonaza for anyone who finishes it before they fix it.

Tawariel said...

Re checking off deeds that are done, that column shows up magically when you print the page. Check it out! :)

Jon Andrist said...

HI Deeds- While we're hoping they get edited at launch, Advanced slayer deeds for Grave-digger, Brood-hunter had a minimum level of 38 as of Beta 4. They were definitely not min level 37, because I finished them at 37 and the next deed didn't pop :)

I realize reputation/class deeds are somewhat generic, but it'd still be nice to have a check list of, Racial slayer 1, etc.

Re: Boar slayer. I haven't looked at all the hidden deeds, but this one actually seems reasonable given the amount of cross zone hopping, and the fact that you pretty much need to get into your 40s to finish it. Its a nice little nudge toward a quest pack.. I'd love to have the minimum level info for it if it can be ferreted out of live somehow.

Frieja said...

FYI, I didn't see Trollshaws on the list of regions.

Tawariel said...

Great catch Frieja! I've added it now.

Ajay said...

One of the Eregion deeds, the Uruk Captains of Eregion, doesn't have a location listed for Logon. I've read that he's at the Wood Troll Cave (42.6S, 16.2 W from other sources). I've been through most of Eregion solo besides the instances, so I'd say it is safe to say that Logon is at the troll cave. The troll cave requires a small fellowship minimum, maybe even a fellowship, even when a few levels above the trolls. I have not ventured all the way into the cave yet.

I'll verify the deeds I have on my character, Yajard, and double-check some of the others and fill-in a few missing ones if you have any.

As for level requirements, is there another way to track this in-game? I remember being level 39 or 40 and had no trouble activating the HI deeds, but I know Jon/Crell confirmed that at 37, you can't get the advanced deed.

Ajay said...

As an additional comment, Eregion is its own quest pack (Not part of Mirkwood) I believe. Walls of Moria is "technically" in Eregion, but it requires the MoM expansion to be purchased.

Tawariel said...

I've updated the level for the advanced rank of Grave-Digger and Brood-hunter to 38. It's easy to tweak again if it turns out to be 39. Re Eregion = Mirkwood, oops! Copy/paste error, and fixed.

Also, added the loc for Logon -- thanks Ajay. And yep, that was me on my cappy in the Giant Wing raid on Bullroarer a few days back. Good fun!

BTW, to see the fixed data you'll probably need to do a deep refresh in the browser (ctrl-F5) to override the copy your browser has cached.

Tawariel said...

"As for level requirements, is there another way to track this in-game?"

I don't think so, other than trial and error. I.e., kill a mob to try to open a deed, and see whether it does.

Amphoras said...

Barghest slayer and Barghest slayer (advanced) are missing from the list of Bree-land deeds. Gives 5/10 TP and needs 30/60 kills. Not sure of the level. The Bree-land Adventurer quest deed is also missing. You have the advanced and final versions, but not the original. It gives 10 TP.

I've been making a list of where to get points if you want to compare them for any other missing ones:

https://spreadsheets.google.com/ccc?key=0AoTVfbzyAyZadFRYVTNRc2RZZEExVGdNQ0ViTmxCOVE&hl=en#gid=0

Tawariel said...

Amphoras - GREAT catch! I think I deleted these three rows from my database by mistake. Database updated (also the total for Bree-land). You may need to do a deep refresh to see the updates.

Amphoras said...

Not showing those ones yet, but it could just be me. I also noticed you're missing the slug slayer deeds from CD and the Scholars from Angmar + advanced and Invaders of Tham Mirdain (ring-forge) from Tham Mirdain. Both sets of slayer deeds give 5/10 like normal and Invaders of Tham Mirdain (ring-forge) gives 10.

Tawariel said...

Thanks again, Amphoras! Ringe-forge deeds were already in the database, I just forgot to add Ring-forge to the zone list. It's there now. The CD slug deeds are a miss, argh! I'll import those into the database later today. Re seeing updated data, you'll need to do a ctrl-F5 to get a fresh copy from the server since your browser should try to cache the data.

Amphoras said...

Can see the Bree-land data now. The CD slug deed is hidden I think. You can only start earning kills for it after completing the Shire slug slayer deeds and I'm not sure if the slug slayer in CD even opens or just appears on completion.

Tawariel said...

Well that explains a lot. I've been flipping though my 65s, and can't find the deed on any of them. Guess I'll need to do a search, or try to complete the deed myself to get the kill-count, title granted and other specifics.

Amphoras said...

Not done it myself, but I have a kinmate who has. I'll ask them if they can tell me.

Jon Andrist said...

I see instances are linked to content packs. Any chance of providing a way to view point totals by content pack instead? Helpful when determining which area to purchase instead of having to add them up yourself (and hoping you get right which instances are parts of which zone).

Amphoras said...

CD slug deed needs 100 kills. Turns out there isn't an advanced for it. Reward is a title Slug Wrangler.

Jon Andrist said...

Freely grindable reputation:
10 surface factions x 50TP at kindred an additional 500 freely acquirable TP.

Lunatuna said...

We definitely plan to add all the TP sources we can find in future releases. It's just that we have a few balls in the air at the moment :)

Ajay said...

Checking the deed info for those areas I've explored/quested in thoroughly...
-Bree -> Looks good! Same with the HI deeds
-Shire -> Looks good!
-Lone Lands -> Defences of Lone Lands deed should say find 9 places (you've got the correct ones listed in additional info though!); Rest good!
-Trollshaws -> Can't check some advanced deeds, but others look good!
-Misty Mountains -> Same as TS!
-Angmar -> Same!
-Eregion -> Same! Rather curious what is meant by VIP-swift travel unlocked with the quest completion deeds.

Overall, checks out very well with my quest log! Good job!

Tawariel said...

Thanks for the review and bug report, Ajay. I swear copy/paste is The Devil! Defences of the Lone-lands fixed... you may need to ctrl-F5 to see the update.

Chamian said...

Can we get TP through skirmish deeds as well? There are quite a lot lieutenant deeds and also one encounter deed per skirmish. Do they also grant TP upon completion?

Tawariel said...

Currently (in beta) skirmish deeds award only marks and titles.

Anonymous said...

I'm not sure if this has been caught yet, but under Ered Luin deeds, I believe Hendroval Slayer requires 30 hendrovals.

Tawariel said...

Great catch! I have the update queued, it should appear within a day. Thanks :)

Anonymous said...

Just a typo I found to report but under Dark Delvings deeds, it says you need 600 rather than 60 glow worm kills for the first glow worm slayer deed.

Tawariel said...

Hehe, 60 is already a huge sticky mess. I don't want to think about 600! Fixed, thanks for the bug report. You might need to refresh (F5) to see the update.

Anonymous said...

I'm having a terrible time trying to print the checklist without all the sidebars, headers and footers. I"m using Firefox 3.6.8 on Windows XP Pro SP3.

Any advice?

Tawariel said...

Well, that's an excellent point. The existing print logic did not try to remove the "chrome" and I agree it left the space on the page for the list itself rather tiny -- especially in Firefox.

So, I changed the print logic to drop most of the chrome, and actually scale up the size of the list itself so it's easier to read on the printed page. Let me know if this works better for you.

I was talking to one of you (Klari) and appears that the Old Forest flower deed may have a quest requirement before you can interact with the flowers. Tom Bombadil's wife, Goldberry, has some quest comments for the deed, so I expect there's some quest you have to complete beforehand in OF. Klari was having that issue, so maybe has figured it out by now. I'm guessing the quest would have to deal with Tom or Goldberry. Tom has a quest to pick up some items near the willow tree and Goldberry is involved with 2 quests I recall (one from Adso's camp).

Anonymous said...

The best TP grind I have found so far that is repeatable is this:
1) make a human. Champ or hunter are preferred to kill fast.
2) Do the first XX quests in bree-land deed to level up some.
3) Do the spider deed in the cave in archet.
4) Do the brigand deed near archet
5) Do various slayer deeds until level 15, perhaps the flies (and if deedable, the orcs or goblins there too)in the swamp near staddle.
6) Hit the great barrows at 15 to do wight slayer. This gives you 15 for wights, 10 for wisdom (pages from the bodies), and another 5 or 10 (I forgot!) from your racial deed to slay wights.

Total is almost 100 points for about 2 hours spent, and thats going HARD by using crafted weapons (level 12 and 14?) and food buffs.
Delete and repeat.

There is a choice to be made, and I do not know which is the better. By level 10 you have 2 15 min deed acceleration scrolls. You can burn them on the disposable toon to beat my 2 hour time, or do as I did and mail them to your main character. I now have like 6 of these, 3 or 4 travel unlocks, some accelerated XP scrolls, and more saved from these trash characters. If you choose to use the scrolls your TP grind is much faster. If you save them, your main character can do slayer deeds for the higher body count deeds much faster. Both are good uses of the items. If you do this a LOT, you will have enough for both tasks.

Anonymous said...

hello,
awesome tool, thanks for the hard work... i found a typo in one of shire's deeds. One of the locations for "The Sights of the Shire" wrong. The great willow is located at 33.6s 70.4w but on the tool tip it says 33.6s 79.4w :) it's a minor typo but it still makes ppl wonder around sometimes XD

Am I just blind or is Helegrod missing? *still looking*

Lunatuna said...

We don't know of any deeds in Helegrod, but we could be missing something. Please share!

Anonymous said...

Unless this has been changed recently, under Gift Packs, you can do either A Plea to Trestlebridge OR Rangers in Evendim. I know that I could not use the page for Rangers in Evendim after I had completed A Plea to Trestlebridge. I am unsure if you do it in reverse order, you can do both.

Anonymous said...

I checked my book and Lunatuna is right. No Helegrod-Deeds (beside the end-boss beeing part of some sort of meta-deed). So, I was wrong. Sorry guys.

Ajay said...

All of those Missives / Pleas TP quests to different areas should all work. The one to the Rangers of Esteldin has been buggy for quite some time now, since F2P beta in fact. I hope to see a fix implemented in the upcoming update.

Anonymous said...

Great tool.
I found an additional deed in Bree-Land.
'Executioner of the Wicked'
Kill 6 named mobs given by Bree rep repeatable quests.
Brishzel, Umnen, Fergan.... too hard to remember these random spellings.

Anywho, it's 10 pts.

Lunatuna said...

It's listed under Haudh Iarchith http://lotro.mmorsel.com/p/tpfinder.html?zd=Haudh_Iarchith&tab=1

Houma said...

I just want to confirm that After doing a Plea from Tresslebridge I am unable to finish The Rangers of Esteldin TP quests. Two of my characters are eligible for those quest, neither can finish the later.

Glandirun said...

Indeed, Rangers of Esteldin seems to be bugged - I've done the other three but cannot take this one (nothing happens when I double-click the envelope). This has been happening since I got the letters.

This TPFinder tool is excellent, not only for free players but as one I find it really useful. However instead of printing I find more comfortable to lay my information in a spreadsheet. Is it OK if I publish my hand-made sheet version of the TPFinder? Of course with full credit and linking to here.

Lunatuna said...

It's already been done. http://spreadsheets.google.com/ccc?key=0AoTVfbzyAyZadFRYVTNRc2RZZEExVGdNQ0ViTmxCOVE#gid=0 Note: This was a parallel, but separate data collection effort to ours, so the organization may be a bit different.

Pi said...

With the recent December update and the introduction of tasks, new deeds with TP rewards have been introduced. The first one that I've seen is the following:
Name: The Up-and-Comer
Objective: Complete 100 tasks throughout Middle-earth
Rewards: Title "Up-and-Comer"
Tasks Rewards
5 TP
Type: Reputation
Deed Log Tab: Class/Race/Epic

"Tasks Rewards" is an undisclosed package with unknown items as of now. This deed appears when you complete your first task.

Lunatuna said...

See http://lorebook.lotro.com/wiki/Task_System_Guide for a description of the task rewards.

I apologize for the slow update - we are working on it. Both Tawariel and I have new jobs, and this is a side hobby. We aren't paid!

Pi said...

I understand that, that's why I reported the new task thingy in case you didn't notice it yet. Again good job (the TPFinder, not your paid jobs!)

Fredelas said...

Thanks for a shout-out to the Task System Guide! :)

FYI, the TP reward for each of the five task-related deeds is 5 TP each, for a total of 25 TP. (They don't ramp up like other tiered deeds commonly do.)

Ajay said...

I decided to finish off my Eregion deeds today and got rewarded Protector of Eregion deed. The deed states there is 11 objectives / tasks for it, but it is a hidden deed so doesn't state exactly what those are. I'm fairly certain that they are all the slayer deeds + uruk captains deed. The description stated for the deed on TP finder mentions all non-instance deeds are required, which is not exactly correct.

Lunatuna said...

Can you mail a screenshot of the completed deed to mmorselguides@gmail.com, and I'll update the data. Thanks!

There are other Barrow-Downs Deeds in Bree-land along with what someone said above; I will include his comment.

Grave-Digger
Defeat Barrow-Wardens in Haudh Iarchith (100)
Rewards: Title: Grave-Digger, 5 Turbine Points

Grave-Digger (Advanced)
Defeat Barrow-Wardens in Haudh Iarchith (300)
Rewards: Vitrue: Mercy #3, 10 Turbine Points

Brood-Hunter
Defeat Barrow-Spiders in Haudh Iarchith (100)
Rewards: Title: Brood-Hunter, 5 Turbine Points

Brood-Hunter (Advanced)
Defeat Barrow-Spiders in Haudh Iarchith (300)
Rewards: Virtue: Zeal #2, 10 Turbine Points

Nemesis of the Fallen
Defeat Barrow-Spirits in Haudh Iarchith (100)
Rewards: Title: Nemesis of the Fallen, 5 Turbine Points

Nemesis of the Fallen (Advanced)
Defeat Barrow-Spirits in Haudh Iarchith (300)
Rewards: Virtue:..., 10 Turbine Points

I'm sorry I do not know the virtue for the last one as I have not begun it yet.

Anonymous said...

Those deeds are listed under Haudh Iarchith, since that is where you have to go to earn those deeds, same as Sarnur.

Fens said...

You have the Galadhrim listed under Moria when in fact it is Lothlorien and Lothlorien is a separate pack you must purchase, if ftp/prem, post the November update.

Nerissa said...

Is there a way to print JUST the chart, without the site sidebars (menus, dev tracker, etc)? Those sidebars squish the chart to like half the font size it could be if I could print just that.

Anonymous said...

Is there a way to see the checklist without having to print it? I'd like to copy and paste the checklist into a spreadsheet or something, but as it displays on the page I can't. Thanks!

Lunatuna said...

Improving the print behaviour is on our backlog, but we are currently focused on Update 2 updates. Have you tried printing in landscape?

Anonymous said...

It says that the Volume 2 and Volume 3 deeds require the purchase of quest packs... is this true? I thought I read somewhere that the Epic Story quests were made free to play?

Anonymous said...

There's a deed under the Reputation Tab that I can't find in the TP finder. The deed is "World Renowned" and consists in becoming Kindred with 11 factions. The factions involved are: The Algraig, Men of Enedwaith; the Men of Bree; the Hobbits of the Shire (Mathom Society); the Dwarves of Thorin's Hall; the Elves of Rivendell; the Eglain of the Lone-lands; the Rangers of Esteldín; the Wardens of Annúminas; the Council of the North; the Lossoth of Forochel; The Grey Company. The rewards are "Steed of Eriador" (mount, +68% run speed, Morale 250), "World Renowned" (title) and 50 TP.

I'm not sure if this deed is free or not.

Anonymous said...

Considering that the Rep for those factions is tied to the zones they are in, it's "free" if you have those areas purchased.

Lunatuna said...

Actually, most rep is free content, so long as you can earn rep for that faction via mob kills, tasks, barter rep items or the epic story. Granted, the quests for that zone may pay alot of rep, giving you a significant headstart, but aren't strictly needed to reach kindred.

For the World Reknowned Deed, the factions that will give you trouble are Algraig and Grey Company. The epic story isn't enough to get you to kindred and the barter rep items are only available as quest rewards. As a Free or Premium player, you will need the Enedwaith QP to complete this deed.

Anonymous said...

There are no "rep items" for the Grey Company or Algraig. The rep based items are for turn in for items, not to earn you more rep. They're the only two in the World Reknowned Deed that have no rep turn in items.

Lunatuna said...

Actually, there are no Eglain items you can barter for rep either, although they do offer a repeatable quest for items you craft.

Thanks for the clarification though. The items you get from Algraig and Grey Company let you barter for goodies, not rep.

So, to reiterate, you'll need to be VIP or own the Enedwaith QP to finish World Reknowned.

Anonymous said...

Thank you for your help. I'm still leveling my first character so there are lots of things that I don't know. This site is very helpfull :)

I bought Enedwaith during it's 75% off day, so I'll be able to complete the World Renowned deed.

The "The History of the Dunedain" deed doesn't seem to exist anymore after the patch.

Worked for a toon last week, but not this week.

Anonymous said...

That deed was listed in Bree area.

Lunatuna said...

The deed still exists in TP Finder. Are you saying it no longer works in game? Can someone else confirm?

Anonymous said...

Is the TP list for Evendium correct with the latest rework of that area?

Anonymous said...

"The History of the Dunedain" is notoriously buggy. Try logging in and out, completing other quests or deeds in the area, etc. It should eventually be available.

Anonymous said...

I was the one that posted about "The History of the Dunedain" not working.

It works for me now on another toon. Haven't tried the one it wasn't working on. But looks like it is a little buggy. The statues wouldn't let me click on them and they didn't glow in any way. The toon it wasn't working on was an RK.

For my champion it is working. So I'll let you know if it works on my RK when I get around to testing it.

Anonymous said...

Regarding the question about Evendim TP, post-update: I only noticed 2 changes. The thresholds for the questing deeds are now 30/60/90, instead of 10/20/30. There was also a new (non-class) deed involving dropped pages or something, but I didn't finish it so I'm fuzzy on the details.

Houma said...

About the "History of the Dunedain" it appears to sometimes lock itself off. On one of my alts I was unable to grab the Cairn in the blackwold ruins in Archet in either the Starter area or afterwards until I had logged the character out and back on. I used another alt and came and was able to finish the deed before I tried with the buggy character. When in doubt, restart the game client.

Lunatuna said...

Actually "Markers of the Sunken City" is not new. What's new is that the Angmarim at Tham Ornen now drop the plaques. You still need 3 dropped plaques plus the 3 clicked plaques found in Annuminas.

Unfortunately, I did my Evendim testing on a character at was already 40 when I got to Annuminas, so I don't know if the minimum level for Annuminas deeds is still 45 (unlocks at 40) or whether is was lowered. Please post if you know the new levels.

Ajay said...

Hey Lunatuna, I felt a little silly and decided to complete the Pits of Moria deed (falling in 6 pits). One of the Nud-melek locations (10.1S, 100.6 W) I had trouble reaching. The location I found was a drop to the lava, which doesn't count for the deed. Instead, I found a location around (5.6 S, 99.6 W). Coordinates may not be exact, it was roughly where I was. It's along the path around the pit with the the bridge. I took a peak towards the pit, didn't see the end of it, and jumped!

Lunatuna said...

I always seem to complete that deed without really trying ;p Thanks Ajay, I've got it on my TP Finder update list.

Anonymous said...

Regarding "History of the Dunedain". I haven't had a chance to try my RK yet. However, my hunter has logged off and on a couple times and computer reboot, still can't click on the statues. Really isn't an issue for this site as the deed is still a valid deed. However just wanted to let people know it is extremely buggy. Even when I was successful with one of my alts, the first statue didn't show up as clickable, but another one did. Will report as bug. Thanks to all for their help.

Anonymous said...

Lorien Lookout isn't on the list, but it doesn't actually give any TP, or at least it didn't when I last checked.
